Hello and welcome to Gin & Frolic!

My name is Ginny and I live in a teeny-tiny town in Mississippi with my son and husband. Our most exciting nights are spent on the front porch of our little, white-trimmed house, drinking a cold beer and listening to a record. After writing an article (I’m a freelance journalist) or studying for school (I’m also an English MA student at the University of Mississippi), I’ll often walk into town for a carton of eggs or a gallon of milk. Our life is simple, and I love it.

I originally started this blog way back in 2011, when I spent 6 months living in France. Unfortunately, I spent so many nights on a tiny barge by the river, drinking martinis and dancing to a three-piece band that I flat-out neglected the little corner.

Want to know a few things about me? I am always trying (and failing miserably) to give up coffee. I love to travel, though I’m still getting my sea legs when it comes to adventure with a little one. I want to run a half marathon at some point, but I usually end up in bed watching Netflix.
